Sedan repair not working? The known bug

The symptom: repair kit applied, animation completed, and the sedan still reads "repairs needed." It's captured in raw match footage — not user error — and given how scarce repair kits are, it's one of the game's most expensive bugs when it hits.

What to try, in order

  1. Re-interact with the hood first. Some interactions re-register on a second attempt without consuming anything — always try the free option before spending.

  2. Check what the prompt is actually asking. The sedan chain is repair + keys + gas; a "car isn't starting" moment mid-panic sometimes reads as a failed repair when it's a missing requirement. The full chain: driving the sedan.

  3. Check whether Michael re-broke it. He can sabotage the car again after a repair — a legitimate second "repairs needed" state that looks identical to the bug from across the yard.

  4. Second kit, if the team can afford it. Reports don't establish whether a second kit reliably clears the stuck state; treat it as a costly maybe. Unverified

  5. Switch escapes. A hatch or the police wagon doesn't care about the car's opinion. Losing a kit to this bug hurts; losing the match to stubbornness hurts more.
